W.L. Weller Bourbon 12 Year is a masterfully crafted wheated bourbon. Aged for a refined 12 years, it hails from the award-winning Buffalo Trace Distillery. Made from Mash Bill #2, it shares its lineage with legends like Pappy Van Winkle and Blanton's. This bourbon is rich and complex, boasting grainy notes, subtle cocoa dust, and soft spices. The mid-palate is a symphony of wheat, cedar, and nuts, layered with lanolin, almond, creamed corn, and toasty vanilla.

W.L. Weller Antique 107 Bourbon, a high-proof wheated bourbon, is bottled at 107. Aged between 6-8 years, it too originates from Buffalo Trace Distillery. Crafted from Mash Bill #2, this bourbon is a sensory delight with fragrant floral notes and sweet vanilla undertones. Its palate reveals hints of sweet fruit, balanced with strong vanilla flavors, culminating in a bold and spicy finish with profound cinnamon notes.

History

The Weller 12 bundle pays homage to a storied legacy. Originating in the 1740s, the Weller family established their distilling roots. By the late 18th century, they settled in Kentucky, where Daniel Weller purchased a distillery in Nelson County. William Larue Weller, after serving in the Mexican-American war, joined the family business and revolutionized bourbon by using wheat as a secondary grain. This innovation led to a softer, gentler flavor, distinguishing weller 12 and other wheated bourbons like Pappy Van Winkle.

William's legacy continued with Pappy Van Winkle, who became President of Stitzel-Weller Distillery. The company evolved, and Buffalo Trace acquired the W.L. Weller brand in 1999, preserving the time-honored recipe. Today, weller 12 remains an iconic representation of the Weller family's enduring influence on bourbon craftsmanship.
