This exceptional set includes Blanton's Red Label, a Glencairn Glass Set, and a JM's Dominican Maduro Churchill Cigar. The Blanton's Red Label is a premium expression, specifically crafted for the Japanese Export Market. It’s aged an additional two years with Mash Bill #2, a mixture of corn, malted barley, and extra rye, before maturing in American White Oak casks. The nose is fruit-forward and sweet, featuring bright hints of cherries mingled with rich caramel, dried oak, honey, and vanilla. On the palate, it offers subtle notes of fennel, licorice, ginseng, dry citrus peel, and cinnamon. The finish is smooth, showcasing a powerful oak influence blended with honey, herbs, and allspice.
The history of this remarkable bourbon dates back to 1984 when it was first produced under the guidance of Elmer T. Lee at the George T. Stagg Distillery, now known as Buffalo Trace. The single barrels are aged 6-8 years in the unique metal-clad Warehouse H, which creates temperature fluctuations affecting the whiskey's aging process. Known for its higher rye content, Blanton's is truly a symbol of quality over quantity, making it a coveted addition to any collection. The iconic horse stoppers, introduced in 1999, spell out "B-L-A-N-T-O-N'-S" and depict different stages of a horse race, making each bottle a collectible piece of history.
