A limited release of WhistlePig The Boss Hog II The Spirit Of Mortimer. Containing only 50 barrels hand selected from amongst our oldest and finest barrels, it has undergone an extensive and unique multi-barrel aging process. Bottled at full barrel-strength, the Boss Hog represents our purest, most powerful, and most primordial expression of the world’s finest rye. Not for the faint of heart.

This whiskey is dedicated to Mortimer Whistlepig, our deceased Kune Kune pig mascot and namesake. Mortimer’s physical monument will be the “Spirit of Mortimer”, a flying pig chiseled by hand by Danforth Pewter Works right down the road from us in Vermont.

TASTING NOTES

NOSE:
Bright and lively with rye spice on the nose accompanied by rich toffee, raisin, baking spice, and black peppercorn with hints of anise and tobacco spice.

PALATE:
Full-bodied with with warming rye hits immediately followed by a sweet and spicy notes of vanilla and oak underneath.

FINISH:
Hints of brown sugar dance in the background with touches of dried stone fruit, butterscotch, maple, and caramel popcorn.
